10am. Location: deep in the tropical forests of Malaysia.
A back-to-basics nature retreat for those who wish to savor a taste of kampung life.
I was thinking, “hmm… nice, green and serene…. this wouldn’t be too bad to stay for a day or two.”
And then I saw these…
Acks! o_O Sorry, guess kampung life isn’t really for me. I treasure my modern hygiene ammenities too much.
But that’s besides the point. The highlight of the day was the special ATV (all terrain vehicle) adventure planned for us!!!
A crash course in operating the manual ATV.
DANGER! The girls have to sign indemnity forms… oh dear do I see some hands quivering… ;P
And off they go!
What a blast the Unas had…. and still looking hot!
….while the rest of us await our turn, chilling in the rustic huts.
Playing cards… away from the hustle & bustle of city life with just the sound of the quiet breeze and rustling leaves… it felt like we were kampung kids.
Our BBQ lunch time…
The Unas return from their exciting time in the wilderness, all ravenous and ready to tuck into their hearty meal.
Yipeedeedoo , gearing up for our turn next
Some thirst-quenching energy boosters first…
It’s an exhilarating 2 hours….!!!
Don’t be fooled by the photos, the roads aren’t always this wide and terrain not always so smooth! It got pretty challenging and dangerous at many points, going upslope and down, through rocky bends etc…
….which made it all the more thrilling!!! Yes I’m such an adrenaline junkie Think some of the guys were a lil shocked at my speeding. One point, I nearly crashed into one of them hehee.
The pinnacle of our journey….
The lalang, mountains, cloudy blue skies and rivers made a truly breathtaking sight.
We’re done! Please. Help. Us.
Tired, dripping with sweat and…. BURNT. Despite slathering on sunblock, I was utterly horrified to find my arms and back were 2 shades darker than before. Disastrous! Not matching with my face! I will have to wait a month or more for it to fade off… You see, years of effort to stay out of the sun can be ruined in just 2 hours >.<
I regretted not putting on my long-sleeved cardigan, regardless of whether or not I looked like a ridiculous clown.
Back to civillization…..
and the Unas are taken on a shopping trip to the spanking new mall Pavilion.
Nightfall… Red Bull Austria has more fabulous partying up their sleeves for us.
This is the happening spot of the night~
From their website..
“Heritage Mansion is the first outlet on the Heritage Avenue to open its gates and… is located on the adjacent street parallel to the famous Asian Heritage Row right behind Atrium. Five units of old houses has been converted to total lifestyle concept never been seen in Kuala Lumpur.
Heritage Mansion is exclusively by Invitation only. The is the place where the A-List crowd hangs out in an exclusive environment tailored to the needs of the most discerning party people in town.”
Lucky Unas, treated like queens, as they drink, dance, and mingle with the Red Bull team and other F1 people… besides, you never know who the “mystery judges” are…
Some girls commented that I smelt very nice. It’s no wonder…!
Sheralynn decides to get a dose of that heavenly fragrance too
Met none other than Lewis Hamilton’s father himself, Anthony Hamilton. Great guy, friendly and easy to talk to. He looks too young to be Lewis’s dad. Resemblence is there though…
If there were to be a soundtrack for the show-stopping La Formula Unas and their V.V.VIP trip so far, I reckon the very catchy electro song “Moon Sparkle” would fit the bill perfectly.
I see you try to break the code of my style
Don’t worry baby, I‘ll be here for a while
Get on down and feast your eyes
Paparazzi in disquise, aha
Watch me cat walk as I make you unwind
Just keep on breathing, I’ll be blowing your mind
Oh honey, click away
Just you wait I’ll make your day, aha
Ooh I feel like
The world is all for me and
Ooh I feel like
Moonsparkle you and me
Ooh I feel like
I feel like lalala la
Speaking of music.. caught the band the Rakes at Zouk for Heineken Green Room Sessions. Admittedly, I had never really heard of them till the night before when I checked out some of their music online. Something a little novel on a Thursday night, so just went down cos it seemed everyone was too. It was stupendously packed, but the crowds mysteriously vanished in a blink of an eye after the performance. Must be work, dreaded work…
Will be having a very busy weekend starting from tonight…. no leisure time for me.. lots of love xoxo
