Was invited to the Singapore Expo for..
Booths and exhibitions galore over the sprawling halls! A full showcase of the infocomm and digital media industries.
Was ushered to my first stop: the LG booth
Well… you couldn’t really just call it a mere booth, it was a huge mammoth BOOTH - the largest, most fanciful and impressive compared to all the rest.
Oh, and what are these exhibitions without the hot models?
The shining new star of LG…
SECRET. Successor to the Chocolate and Shine
Shhhhh…. LG’s Secret is a good one. Hiding inside this stunning phone is a load of features.
Check some of them out~
And watch a short live video I found~
I was completely stunned by the sheer range of LG phones. I never knew they had so many different models, it was frankly rather shocking. And all of them ultra stylish and feature-packed too.
I noticed a great number of them were touch-screen too… LG evidently seems to be on the forefront of modern trends~
This LG Viewty has a funny cool photo editing function -
I also caught a peek at the new Omnia, the product that Samsung aims to rival the iPhone.
Next stop: my super nice guides bring me to the Yahoo! booth
There, I am given a personal demonstration of the latest Yahoo! Onesearch.
Currently, it can only be installed on BlackBerry.
The voice recognition technology seems accurate, and word on the street is that it even recognizes the Singlish accent?
Yahoo! has worked on determining the most relevant pieces of information a mobile phone user on the go would want.
Onesearch puts information all right in front of you without having to click on multiple links and then find your way back through a convoluted navigation process, as you might have to do on a more conventional mobile search service. Phew.
In addition to providing relevant links to web and mobile web sites, the new mobile search provides immediate answers for business listings, movie show times, sports, news, events, celebrity gossip, stock/finance information etc etc.
Went home very happy with goodies from LG and Yahoo! in a XXL sized paper bag.
I adore the LG SECRET KF70 that I was given
Was using a pretty normal phone before this, that’s um, frankly quite ugly and scratched up. Didn’t bother to get a new fanciful one, because I didn’t see a need to. However I’ve changed my mind, because with the Secret, I just cannot wait to carry this beauty around and show it off! Plus, With HSDPA and a Google package pre-installed, I can surf the web on the go now, which is something I’ve been missing out on for far too long.
The ‘unscratchable’ tempered glass front, patterned back panel, solid build and confident sliding mechanism give the phone a real premium look and feel, and the fact that only four buttons are visible on the black front fascia make the Secret look sleek and desirable.
I quickly got used to the keypad’s sensitivity, thanks to the slight vibration in response to a key press, along with ripples of light emanating from the button. I also like the fact that it’s the SLIMMEST 5-megapixel camera phone around.
Now look what I saw today
I’d better “fa” soon.
Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend I had a nasty eye infection this week, and although I’ve gotten much better my right eye is still awful and red… please pray it goes away asap
