Hellllllloooooooooo Londooonnn!
Can I say that I like it better than New York?
It’s my third day here, I feel much more in tuned with the British vibe… well how should I put it… it feels a tad more refined and cultured here? Furthermore, I really enjoy the old and beautiful architecture of the buildings, very charming and lovely. But I reckon Americans are a much friendlier lot though.
Alas my London trip is cut too short when it ends on Sunday… I wish, futilely so, to stay in this amazing wonderland longer and explore more. I haven’t been up the London eye nor the museums.
Anyway, before I update you on all the fun and touristy stuff I’ve been delving into, (I visited romantic Paris as well!) today we shall first and foremost get a behind-the-scenes peek into Tiger Translate and get a taste of all the sublimey creative juices that have been flowing.
The art studio in the artsy and fashionably hip area called Shoreditch.
4 flights of stairs and art all the way up.
East meets West: Artists Badral Bold (Mongolia) and Alex Duvol of Hicalorie (England)
Sharing their indivdual works and an exchange of ideas for their mural with the help of a translator.
Andreas (Denmark) is given a piece of glass that Eine (UK) had already started on one side with his signature lettering. Andreas decides to respond to “Londons Calling” by contemplating “What’s London saying?”
Udisha (India) works on her part of the mural shared with Badral and Alex.
Very different styles…
We take a short walk to a nearby carpark where Mee Wong (China), Ben Qwek (Singapore) and Pure Evil (UK) are transforming a London Taxi Cab.
The ammunition.
Ben’s dreamy and ethereal female creations always look so pretty.
Me helping him…. or not! Ben kept saying “no! not there, careful!” Haha, never mess with an artist’s work
Pure Evil adding his sinisterly nasty touches.
Grrrr. Go Tiger.
We shall see how the pimped up cab will look like at Tiger Translate later tonight!
Stopped by Pure Evil’s precious~
In awe. Gritty and underground feel to it, like you’ve been sneaked into a special secret.
Motifs to live by:
Magic potion for your emotions.
Yeah mate. Dance dance dance and do me a lil carefree twirl~
THe most powerful weapon of all?
Oops, he forgot a certain ah-lian shortie’s face in there.
In London, art is everywhere. You can see it, you can feel it. Good vibes indeed.
…. and it’s stinkingly toxic.
Lots of vintage stores everywhere… whhhheeeee. But crazy ex when you convert the currencies.
The mind-boggling inside of one.
Bloggers get Sneaky: Kenny Sia and I and a Converse Sneakers invitation.
Dinner time…..
…..and always Tiger Time!
More updates soon~
