     My absence can attributed to 2 factors:

    -  Laptop problems again requiring fixing, hence I’ve been feeling severly handicapped without my notebook and cyber-M.I.A. Really considering getting a new one… Mac this time perhaps?

    -  Fall break. Which I spent in sunny blue-skied L.A! Was a refreshing temporary change from the concrete jungle that is Manhattan.

    Today, back in NYC, I had my first ever major celebrity encounter:

    Okay, so it’s kind of sad I only got a picture of the car, but what was I to do?
    Spotted at 4th Street, Mr. Pretty Richard Woman Gere declined to have his picture snapped, but he did shake my hand and chatted with me for a minute!

    He looked like Santa with snow white hair and little glasses.

    Quite often I get asked by readers to recommend some new songs to them. Thank you for your confidence in my tastes, I’m really glad you’ve liked the music I’ve chosen to play on my website the past years  :)  Today I feel like sharing with you one of my current favorite picks which I’ve been bopping along to.

    Swedish-born singer Lykke Li’s track is cute, cool and catchy, with just a dash of electro edginess. I’m a “Little  Bit” in love with this delicious ditty, not to mention her brilliantly weird yet wonderful video. (Check out the crazy unorthodox dancing and sublimey effects…. lovely)

    I was told my STOMP entry this week was published in My Paper back home in Singapore. Read it here. I did not realize that the topic was chosen because there is presently a huge hoohabuhloohah over a dormitory for foreign workers being built in Serangoon Gardens! Hmm… my aunt lives there, I wonder how she feels…
