Wedding Bells a Ringing ♥
*update: Certain names and photos have been removed for the privacy of the bride
You know age is catching up with you when you start attending lots and lots of weddings.
Not your uncle’s, 2nd cousin’s, or grandmother’s god-daughter’s son’s. I’m talking about
your friends’ nuptials. Yup, when the people you hang out with start walking down th aisle
one by one, it’s like a wakeup call. “You’re not young anymore!” ”Isn’t it time YOU have a serious long term relationship?” “Oh my goodness, I used to party and do silly things with this person! He was crazzyyyyy. And now he’s getting MARRIED? Gonna have KIDS?” “But I’m still a kid!…. Am I?”
So whilst I was back in Singapore, I was very, very excited to be part of my girlfriend’s big day. She is the very first close female friend of mine to tie the knot. Actually preparations had long begun in the States, where she had been dating her Korean-American partner for some years. I had the privilege of accompanying her to her wedding gown fitting at famous bridal store Kleinfeld here in New York!
First off, before you get chained down with lock and key to someone forever, you have to enjoy a last night of wild freedom right?
We had her bachelorette or hen party at Velvet Underground during the club’s anniversary celebration.
Blowing a condom! Yikes!
The church service somewhere near Little India:
How cute – The Chinese bride wore the traditional Korean dress HanBok, while the Korean groom wore the traditional Chinese qipao!
At night, the wedding feast at Shangri-La hotel’s grand island ballroom.
We were eagerly anticipating the dinner and curious how the ballroom would be transformed, because the couple had engaged a famous celebrfity wedding planner from the States.
*update: aka irresponsible jerkzilla
We weren’t disappointed, to say the least. Everything was perfect and absolutely beautiful!
WOW. Extravagant and intricate flower arrangements… we were totally bowled over.
The slideshow displaying cute photos of the newly weds from past to present. Wonder if that is a tradition in other countries as well?
Wishing them love & happiness forever & always
After party at Butter Factory:
I wonder which of us amongst our friends is going to be next? Hmmmm…..
What kind of wedding do you hope to have?
