Happy National Day Singapore
This year during our dear nation’s 47th birthday, like many patriotic Singaporeans do, I left the country for a while.
Hello from Byron Bay in Australia!
Home is where the heart is. No matter which gorgeous faraway land I’m in, I still love my tiny little powerhouse of a country and our people. You can take me out of Singapore but you can’t take the Singaporean out of me. I wore our national colors in remembrance

What’s there not to like about S’pore ?
- Peace, security, economic prosperity, good education, cleanliness, religious freedom and harmony, lots of good food and shopping everywhere. We don’t have to worry about gunman going around shooting and terrorizing people, our cars getting hijacked, widespread bribery and corruption, women getting raped or molested or poor customer service like I often experience elsewhere. Plus decent and interesting bloggers like mrbrown, dawnyang, peggyheng…
Very “patriotic” of you to go away celebrate National Day in another island where there is no teh tarik, ice kachang, curry chicken, nasi briyani, roti prata, wanton mee …….. and no pink midget for you to scare…. Boo !
I’m sorry. but… peggy heng.. Decent and interesting?! It’s interesting how you included her in with the likes of mrbrown and dawn.
I don’t know enough about Peggy Heng to dislike her, except that she made a lame attention seeking BJ video that put her on par with xiaxue. At least she does not curse or insult people and use vulgarities like xiaxue so that’s pretty cool with me. Besides, she’s only 22 and quite cute looking !
Happy National Day to all Singaporeans. Like most people, what I love about Singapore is the FOOD, especially Teh Tarik, Yummy !!
