The onus is not on DY to prove that the email is true but on YOU to disprove it... I am sure that you will desperately do anything to disprove it if there were rumors that Mike is seeing another woman. The receiver of the email is not obligated to prove anything except expose the email. There are gazillions of rumors going on in the internet and no one bothers to prove anything but if it affects someone's reputation, that affected party has to be the one to disprove the rumors, otherwise it will always remain as truth to netizens.
