| | Arrived in Sin City Today!
Well.. I know I landed in the right airport for sure....
Even at baggage claim they don't stop with the slot machines do they?!
We are bombarded with giant advertisements of Vegas shows. That of course includes.....
Bachelorette party-goers, take note.
Our hotel, the Palazzo. It is the new extension of the Venetian.
The rooms are beautifully done up.
I love that even the smallest room here is actually a suite! We have a
bedroom, living room area, an oversized bathroom, and there are 3 LCD
tv-screens in all three spaces.
A step into another world... Venice comes to Las Vegas.
I'm not going to take the gondola ride though - I'm saving that experience
for the real thing in Europe one day :)
After several hours of flying and checking in, we are hungry for some late
dinner. What do we find in our hotel:
First Food & Bar
It is a neighborhood-style bar/diner/restaurant with an upscale feel.
Urban, sophisticated—and fun.
The industrial loft-style space is dimly lit, popped with mixed-up furniture,
colorful walls and a view of the bright Strip from oversized windows.
The food is a slick take on diner/comfort food with an extensive drink menu
that includes plenty of exotic cocktails.
Complimentary appetizer- pretzels and 3 dipping sauces. One is honey-
mustard, yum.

ketchup (lip-smacking delicious, and that's as fusion a dish as you can get!)

After that we headed to the casino, where I made winnings of $230 at first,
then later went down by the same amount.
It was one stupid mistake where the dealer didn't realize I was going to put
more bets down that caused my downfall... ohh long story. Basically it's
linked to the "double-up" method of gambling that I use.
Wish me luck and fortune for tomorrow please! My goal is to make it back....
and more ^_^ Will also be doing pool-lounging, sightseeing, buffet, and
Friday night party at XS in the Encore hotel, excited.
It's the start of the Halloween weekend, are you ready to dress up and
