Happy 1^st Birthday to b.liv!!!

b.liv was previously known as Cellnique, an expert paramedical salon brand of skincare.

I have been trying out their line for 2 weeks and I’m here to share my reviews on some of them.

FYI, I have combination skin so I was given the appropriate products to use.

In order of usage:

1.    Squeaky Clean Cleanser

I prefer gel cleansers such as these, because foaming cleansers usually contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or Sodium Laureth Sulfate...

which is harsh and potentially damaging on the skin, stripping away it’s natural barriers.

This gentle green-colored Squeaky Clean Cleanser does just that – my skin feels squeaky clean and soft after using it.

The micro-beads help exfoliate and remove excessive impurities.

It has a refreshing menthol smell that will invigorate your senses in the morning or night.

2.    Off With Those Heads

One of B.liv’s best selling items, I was curious to see if it would live up to the hype.

I myself suffer from some unsightly blackheads (looking upclose) on my nose, it’s the bane of my skin!

There is a cooling effect after applying the slightly peppermint-ish gel on my T-zone.

Skin felt ultra matte and smooth.

Immediately after, I’m not sure if it was my imagination but I thought I saw some white heads already visibly “popping” out

I gave a gentle squeeze to the areas and they came out surprisingly easily. No painful extraction needed.

Quite miraculous!

After using this daily, pores and blackheads were visibly reduced, although not completely eliminated.

And of course I loved that it was a much easier task to get “off with those heads”.

3.    Quench Me

This is a moisture replenishing & retaining + cell revitalizing gel.

It’s lightweight, aqua blue texture is perfect for oily/combination skins, and doesn’t feel too heavy.

My skin always felt supple, but not oily after using. This makes it good to use before putting on my make up too : )

4.    Glow & Shine

I use it twice a week, applying a thick layer all over my face, then leaving it on for about 10 minutes.

After that, I massage with a little bit of water.

This is where the exfoliating action takes place and you can feel the beads working it’s magic.

I find it does make my skin look fresher and healthier.

Especially on days when I feel my skin is dull and needs a “perk me up”. Nice! : )

Now that you have prepped and nearly perfect skin, you have the canvas to apply some foundation makeup.

5.    Got Me Covered

This foundation felt really different from other foundations I’ve tried in that you can feel it’s mattifying formulation.

It also has SPF35 sunblock which is always necessary.

The shade is more yellow instead of pinkish, suits my Asian skin tone much better.

It contains added benefits like Vitamin C and Salicylic Acid that helps in oil control.

The coverage is not very heavy, so if you’re looking for something heavy I recommend don’t go for this.

However it’s great because it looks and feels very natural. Does not clog my pores either.
