I am flippin’ off the wall in excitement, after weeks of anticipation and election fever, after being glued to CNN for the past few exhilarating hours!

Change has come to America. And what better to exemplify this change than the historic erosion of racial barriers with the very first Black president of the United States. The face of the country is changing - the minorities will soon make the majority. He is a symbol of hope to many, especially to a new generation of Americans and to people the world over. We hope he will bring the much needed change to the economy, to end the war as promised, to restore America’s tattered reputation abroad. We cannot expect change to happen overnight, but the new leader can surely, we hope, bring it about gradually.

p.s Watching them on the telly, I’ve been telling my family and friends that the suave Tony Leung bears some resemblence to equally suave Obama. Something in their lanky frame, slightly protruding ears….and quiet, steely, yet reassuring demeanor. See it?
