  • G.O.D Opening Party in Singapore

When I first saw G.O.D in Hong Kong, I was like, “cool!”

Goods of Desire (住好啲) is quintessentially Hong Kong. And in the local dialect of Cantonese, their name also means “to live better”. They have developed a cult following with their quirky and cheeky play on all things “Honkie”.

Founded in 1996 in Hong Kong, Goods of Desire has since evolved from a small retail space in Ap Lei Chau (鴨脷洲) to become an established, multifaceted Hong Kong brand. Their designs are inspired by the vibrant culture of the energetic city, where East meets West and age-old traditions thrive alongside modern technologies. Through humor and ingenuity, everyday items are transformed into truly extraordinary creations.

Don’t put in front of drunk & hungry friends!

Fans and curious new shoppers will be excited to know that last month, the brand marked it’s first international expansion with a 6000 sq ft. flagship store in Central at Clark Quay right here in Singapore. And I was there to check out the special launch :)

    Creative canapes!

The DJ from Dragonfly club was spinning Cantopop-techno tunes all the way, which added well to the kitsch factor of the whole event.

    Good morning towels!

AHEM. Cantonese speakers will understand the naughty naughty Delay No More joke here.

I didn’t get it, my friend had to whisper it into my ear!

Notice the sign in the background….?

When you make your way to the store, remember not to make the same mistake as me by going to Orchard Central! ^.^
