  • Welcome To Australia

Am in Brisbane now for their hotly anticipated Future Music Festival.

    www.futuremusicfestival.com.au

Big thanks to the organizers for sponsoring the trip, I'm quite enjoying the bogan (new term I learnt, go look it up!) experience so far, fears of alligators under my bed not withstanding....

  • Out & About

A little gem tucked away in a corner of Ann Siang Hill, K Ki is a Japanese patisserie cake shop cafe and cute retail space where I spent a lovely weekday afternoon catching up with my god brother for tea.

They have delightfully unique creations such as Champagne mousse with Wild Strawberry centre and Fromage mousse (Cheese mousse) with Rock Melon centre, etc.

Browse books, vintage toys and other quirky knick knacks at The Little Drom Store while you're there.

I was ecstatic to find this....! -->

Rainbow Brite and her horse Starlight was one of my favorite storybook characters when I was a little girl! I read all her books and listened to the tapes!
The doll is an ugly rendition of her though, haha.

Dr. Georgia Lee's Birthday Bash at Zouk

So many of her clones (and tall like she is too)

The lady of the night does a little dance performance.

Always admired her passion for her work and her iconic fashion style.

The well-known aesthetic doctor also had her crowd of celebrity friends out in full force that night :)

    Georgia Lee and Dick Lee

    Kym Ng, Patricia Mok

David Gan and two mandopop singers, whose names I forget.

Late that night at my friend's place, everyone went crazy over the cutest most adorable little dog alive! I might get myself a Maltese puppy now.

    "Gimme, he's mine!"

Till next time and have a fab weekend :) I know I will be......! (more to come)

  • A Little Lovin' 14th Feb Happiness

A Valentine's present for my parents.

I know my dad likes him and has his CDs. I really like Engelbert's songs too! I'm an old-fashioned soul that way.

Delicious heart-shaped raspberry tarts by my sister.

Checked into the Capella at Sentosa.

Set amidst a lush, vibrant rainforest with fields of calm rolling green fields welcoming you as you drive in, the resort is a calming and unique oasis of tranquility. The jewel and centerpiece is a restored colonial building from the 1880s - magnificently perched atop a hill. The fusion of past and contemporary is reflected in the architecture and luxury interiors.

I liked that it was really quiet, making it a true holiday respite from the city life. No hoards of tourists and screaming kids that you would find in say, Marina Bay Sands.

The villa was spacious and wonderfully furnished, with a private plunge pool.

Breakfast... with milo in a wine glass ;)

The pool was nice and surprise, no other people to fight share with. My only gripe though was the rough jagged texture of the pool tiles. Kind of painful!

I love our street hawker food so the newly opened Malaysian Food Street in Resorts World was a must-try!

Designed to evoke the look and feel of walking down the streets of Malaysia, the food street is lined with true-to-detail street stalls, facades of shophouses, old buildings and 1950s old-fashioned wooden furniture to set the mood. The highlight, of course, is the food – from the famous KL Hokkien Mee to the mouthwatering Heun Kee Claypot Rice, it’s a real feast.

    It's raining oil...

Yum. Sadly the Heun Kee Claypot Rice was sold out, I'm planning to go back again to get my fix!

Byebye idyllic life, back to working reality.

     Smooches. xoxo

What is the fascination with boobs?

Men go ballistic (pardon the pun) over them (if not he’s either lying or gay) and women look on enviously at those who are well-endowed.

Without going into a long scientific/theological/social debate, the fact of the matter is just as men would love to have a ripped body like Brad Pitt’s, many women would kill to have a svelte figure with a full bust. Not only is it a physical sign of health and beauty, but from a fashion standpoint.... well it just fills out the clothes and looks better!

I wouldn’t say I'm very busty, but I’ve been blessed to not exactly be flat-chested either.

Push-up bras are my wardrobe’s best friend ;o)

But you know, bras can only do so much.
I would want to enhance my bustline if possible.... however I personally would not go for surgical breast augmentation because

    i)              numerous medical risks including some reports linking to breast cancer

ii)             high chance of complications and the need to remove them

iii)            feels hard, may not look natural

iv)            too large and you look vulgar

    v)             according to girlfriends who have done it, it really really really HURTS! “Felt a truck ran right into me” is how one described it.

If like me, you prefer a natural bust enhancement solution, the good news is, there is help.

There are many reasons for ladies to visit Tokyo Bust Express:

I was excited to go to their Orchard Central branch.

A gentle reminder to manage your expectations when going. Natural treatments cannot bring about the drastic change surgery does. A good outcome will yield lifting and firming results, or a half – one cup size bigger.

I knew I wasn’t going to walk out like Pamela Anderson (um wait, who wants that anyway?)

    They are award-winning!

Meeting with the very friendly and helpful consultant, Evonne.

Another testament to her professionalism and service :)

Behind closed doors, Evonne privately took measurments of my bust to devise a personalised treatment plan for me.

She found that one side is slightly lower than the other (oh dear.) They could also be lifted and firmed to decrease the horizontal distance between them, creating the illusion of fuller breasts.

The aim is to make your triangle smaller!

Besides a math lesson, I got a bio lesson too.

Basically, phyto-estrogens (plant hormones) are similar to those in our breasts and can act as a supplement/replacement.

Hence, a lot of their treatments center around the use of phytoestrogens, Japanese massage techniques and specialized equipment.

Each client will have a customized range of treatments depending on their needs.

    I’m led to my room..

I loved how it was warm and cozy in the dim lighting.

Such a pretty table setup waiting for you with a giftbag.

The starry lava lamp mesmerized me.

Draw the curtains back and with sunlight streaming in, I felt so relaxed and just like a princess in the feminine, floral room, ready to be pampered by my beauty fairygodmother.

There were 3 parts to my treatment and it lasted a total of about an hour. These included a scrub, soothing massages, cyrocell therapy and serums applied.

But I can’t show you pictures of course! :P

Without a doubt my breasts felt firmer and more “pushed together” after that. And looking in the mirror (after the therapist treated only one side), you can see a subtle lifting effect.

Overall, they felt rounder and perkier.

Hopefully if I continue visiting Tokyo Bust Express I could maybe go from a small C to full C  :)

Best of all everything is natural, safe, healthy, with no injections or pills.

Thank you to the sweet and hospitable staff.

I’m also starting to try out their line of home treatments. Just once a day, after my shower.

Left to right: Juujit Serum, Maji Kou Essence, Masu Supplement Cream.

They contain pure natural plant extracts, vitamins, and phyto-estrogens to improve collagen, simulation, smoothness and firmness for the bust. All formulated in Japan.

Give Tokyo Bust Express a try if you’re looking for natural (not scary surgical) bust enhancement in a pretty, relaxing environment.

  • Happy Chinese New Year of the Dragon

Of course, one of the most important traditions to uphold before kick starting the new Chinese lunar calender is

    SPRING CLEANING.

It really is a common-sense thing everyone should do every so often, but if you're like me... uhhh, not happening :)

So the CNY occasion is a good push for lazy girls with overflowing wardrobes to start somewhere.

    OUT WITH THE OLD:

Taking stock of my sleep wear. Found a favorite old singlet of mine that I hadn't seen in years. MEOW!

Fond memories left to right: of my Raffles Junior College orientation days 16 years old, L.A. days 19 years old, remember when cd shopping at Pacific Plaza reigned in life? 13 years old.

I gave these away, feeling a tad sentimental now... :'(

I have a giant suitcase full of pre-loved and new clothing that I will be selling at a flea market sometime in March. For those who email me asking whether I sell my dresses etc., here's your chance.

    IN WITH THE NEW

Some of my red hot new clothing. But I didn't end up wearing any of these!

All my relatives were in red, and a lot of effort went into decorating my grandparents' house. Love the festive atmosphere!
I think everyone celebrating CNY should try to wear some shade of red or fuschia on the first day!

(ironically I also had slightly red eyes too due to an eye infection. Reminder to please take care of your contact lenses guys)

    So cute ♥

    So cute ♥

Tucking into home-made lunch lovingly prepared for us.

Delicious braised pork and chap chye. Its our family's CNY tradition to eat this and I always look forward to it.

    Open. at. your. own. R I S K.  :P

I wore a qipao / cheongsam  for the first time in 15 years (the last was for a school performance). I was always hesitant to don one because you know, it's hard to match up to the standard inspired by Maggie Cheung in "In the Mood for Love".

The little Chinese dress exudes oriental grace and refined sensuality.

Next year, perhaps I'll try to get a long piece with a slit like hers. And it has to be tight to look good. Like really, really, cannot-touch-pineapple-tarts tight!

    So cute ♥

My aunt's home-made yu sheng. Teochew style. With plenty of abalone to boot. Yum.

Health, wealth and prosperity to all!

    At my friend Franck's home.

Franck makes THE BEST crepes. Savory (ham, egg, cheese) or sweet (banana, nutella) you'd have to get in line for your order. I went for 3 rounds.

Thanks to the awesome host for toiling away a good part of the night to satisfy our cravings.

It's a boisterous affair there every year, tons of guests and good cheer.

Lou hei madness. All over my arms too!

    ..... And blackjack madness

The players cheer as they win, but our happy high is momentary. The banker host is LEGENDARY when it comes to CNY gambling luck. It's almost the norm for him to draw a 21 even with four cards. Insane.

As we say, the crepes are expensive ^.^

    AFTER PARTY AT FILTER

    BIRTHDAY PARTY + GATHERING

My spiritual brothers and sisters. xoxo

I'm still munching on pineapple tarts and kueh lapis at home everyday btw. Burp.
